Your data, explained clearly.

This policy describes the information MarketApp collects, why we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

01 · Scope

About this policy

This Privacy Policy applies to MarketApp, its beta releases, and related services operated by Cork Robotics (collectively, the “Service”). MarketApp provides market-data, strategy, alert, simulation, and optional brokerage-connected features.

Because MarketApp is in beta, features may change. If a change materially affects how we handle personal information, we will update this policy and its effective date.

02 · Information we collect

Information depends on how you use MarketApp.

Account and identity information

When you create or use an account, we may collect your name or display name, email address, a unique account identifier, the sign-in provider you choose, authentication-session information, account status, and sign-in or last-active timestamps. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the identifiers and profile details that provider makes available based on your settings. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.

Brokerage and financial information

If you choose to connect a brokerage account, such as Charles Schwab, we may receive and process authorization credentials, an account identifier, account type, balances, cash, buying power, equity, positions, profit-and-loss information, orders, and related activity needed to provide the connected features you request. Brokerage access credentials and account identifiers are stored in protected form. We do not receive your brokerage password.

Market data and app content

We may process the symbols, quotes, charts, market history, watch selections, strategies, backtests, alert rules, simulated trades, quiz or training activity, preferences, and other content you request, create, save, or interact with. Market data may come from brokerage and market-data providers and becomes associated with you when it is part of your saved activity or settings.

Device identifiers and notifications

If you enable push notifications, we collect an Apple Push Notification service token associated with your app installation, along with the platform, app version, notification environment, notification preferences, time zone or quiet hours, and delivery or read status. The push token is used to route MarketApp notifications to your device; it is not used for advertising.

Technical and operational information

When the Service communicates with our systems, we and our infrastructure providers may receive technical details such as IP address, user agent, app version, device or operating-system information, request timestamps, security events, and error or performance logs. We use this information to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.

Analytics

MarketApp does not currently include a third-party analytics or advertising SDK. We may review limited first-party operational metrics and aggregated App Store analytics to understand reliability and feature use. Apple provides App Store analytics under its own privacy terms, generally using data from users who choose to share analytics with developers.

03 · How we use information

We use information to provide and improve the Service.

  • Create and maintain your account and authenticate your sessions.
  • Display market information and run requested strategies, backtests, simulations, and educational features.
  • Save your preferences, strategies, alerts, and other app content.
  • Connect to a brokerage account and provide the account features you request.
  • Send notifications you enable, including market or strategy alerts and important service messages.
  • Maintain reliability, diagnose problems, prevent fraud or misuse, and protect users and the Service.
  • Respond to support requests, communicate about the beta, and comply with legal obligations.

04 · When we share information

We share information only for defined purposes.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. Hosting, database, security, communications, and other vendors may process information for us under appropriate restrictions.
  • Services you connect. We exchange information with Apple or Google for sign-in, Apple for push delivery, a brokerage such as Charles Schwab when you link an account, and market-data providers when needed to fulfill your requests.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, investigate misuse, or protect rights, safety, and property.
  • Business changes. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable law and continued protection.
  • At your direction. We may share information when you ask us to or give consent.

05 · Connected services

Third-party services have their own policies.

Your use of Apple, Google, Charles Schwab, market-data providers, or other connected services is also governed by those companies' terms and privacy policies. MarketApp requests only the access needed for its features, but we do not control how third parties handle information they collect directly from you.

06 · Retention and deletion

We keep information only as long as reasonably needed.

Retention depends on the information and why it was collected. We generally retain account and app content while your account is active and for a limited period afterward for backup, security, dispute-resolution, and legal purposes. Brokerage credentials are retained while the connection is active or as needed to complete a requested disconnection or revocation. Invalid push tokens may be disabled or removed.

You may request deletion by emailing [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may remain where retention is required by law, necessary for security or fraud prevention, or present temporarily in protected backups. Aggregated or de-identified information that no longer identifies you may be retained.

07 · Your choices

You can manage your information.

  • Control MarketApp notifications in the app and in iOS Settings.
  • Change or disable alert rules and related preferences.
  • Disconnect a linked brokerage account or revoke MarketApp's access through the brokerage.
  • Sign out and revoke active app sessions.
  • Request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights concerning access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection. We will honor applicable rights after verifying the request.

08 · Security

We use safeguards designed to protect your information.

These safeguards include access controls, protected authentication sessions, encrypted storage for sensitive brokerage credentials and account identifiers, and secure network transport where supported. No system can guarantee absolute security, so please use a secure device and notify us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

09 · Children

MarketApp is not directed to children.

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it when appropriate.

10 · Changes

We may update this policy.

We may revise this Privacy Policy as MarketApp develops or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and change the effective date. If a change is material, we may also provide notice in the app or through another reasonable channel.
