Optional website analytics

Cloudflare provides cookie-free aggregate website traffic analytics. These totals can include crawlers and automated requests; they do not identify returning people.

If you accept optional analytics, we load Google Analytics and allow its first-party cookies to help us understand which pages consenting browsers visit, where visits come from, and whether a browser returns. Google also processes technical information such as browser characteristics and approximate location. We do not send signup email addresses, form answers, or account identifiers to Google Analytics, and we disable Google advertising signals and personalization. We remove arbitrary URL query parameters and page anchors from the page address sent to Google, keeping only validated campaign labels.

Google Analytics cookies are configured to expire after 180 days from creation, though your browser may remove them sooner. We save your analytics choice in a functional cookie for up to 180 days; a browser exclusion, when enabled, can last up to one year. You can change your choice using “Analytics preferences” at the bottom of any page. Declining keeps Google Analytics off and does not affect the website or signup form. Withdrawing consent stops subsequent Google Analytics collection from this page and removes its accessible cookies; it does not erase data already received by Google.

Analytics counts represent consenting browsers, not verified individual people. Cookie deletion, blocked analytics and visits on multiple devices affect the totals. Google may process analytics information outside your country. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner sites.

What we collect

When you sign up, we collect your email address and your consent to receive CorkBot product updates and launch news. Our email provider keeps subscription and confirmation records, including whether you have confirmed or unsubscribed.

We may also record the campaign source included in the signup link, such as Instagram or YouTube, to understand which campaigns bring people to CorkBot. The launch page does not save your email address in your browser.

How we use it

We use your email to send a signup confirmation, CorkBot product updates, and news of the planned Kickstarter launch. Joining the list is free. It does not purchase or reserve a CorkBot, or require a future pledge.

Who processes it

Cloudflare hosts this website and processes signup requests. An email service provider, Brevo or MailerLite, stores and manages the mailing list, confirmation emails, campaign delivery, and unsubscribe requests. The signup form identifies the provider when it uses a hosted form. We do not maintain a separate Cloudflare database of newsletter subscribers.

If a Cloudflare Turnstile security check is enabled, Cloudflare receives information needed to verify the signup request, including your IP address. We do not pass your IP address to the email provider through our website’s signup endpoint. Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own.

Unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information

Every marketing email will include an unsubscribe link. You can also contact [email protected] to ask about your subscription or request deletion. We may retain a suppression record to respect your unsubscribe request and avoid adding you back by mistake.

We keep subscription information while it is needed to manage the launch list and your preferences. We will review it when the campaign ends; contact us if you would like it removed sooner.

Optional VIP reservations

VIP reservations are being prepared. Before payments open, the offer will include its own reservation and refund terms. Any enabled checkout will be hosted by Stripe, which handles payment information. This website does not collect card details. A payment receipt address does not automatically subscribe you to marketing emails.
